Making Calls Easy Guide

Your room telephone operates with a tone dialing system. The red light on the phone will flash to indicate incoming calls.

Reception
Please dial '9' for Reception if you have any questions.

In an emergency dial '000'.

Room to Room Calls
You can call direct from the telephone in your room to any other room in the hotel. To call another room dial '2' then the room number. For example: To call room 301, you would dial 2301.

Local Calls
To make a local call dial '0' then the number. Charges apply.

Telephone Translator Service
Telstra Australia provides a 24 hour Translation and Interpreting service by calling 13 14 50.

Interstate Calls
To make an interstate call dial '0' then the state code:

• New South Wales 02
• ACT 02
• Victoria 03
• South Australia 08
• Tasmania 03
• Western Australia 08
• Northern Territory 08

International Calls
Dial '0' for an outside line followed by:

1. The international access code (0011)
2. The country Code
3. The area code
4. The overseas telephone number

Fire & Safety

Please note we are a totally non-smoking building (this includes balconies)

For your safety, all rooms are equipped with Fire rated doors, automatic smoke and heat detectors, emergency lighting and an audio public address system.

Basic Safety Precautions

• Familiarise yourself with locations of the nearest fire exit and fire extinguisher. Refer to the directions on the plan on the back of your unit door.
• Make sure you know the direct dial emergency number: 000
• No smoking is allowed in any of the rooms, including balconies.
• Please do not light candles or sparklers in your room.

Procedures in case of a Fire
In case of a Fire Alarm Activation you will hear one of the following:

• A beeping tone – Remain calm and await further instruction over the public address system.
• Prepare to evacuate.
• A whooping tone – Proceed to the nearest Fire Exit and leave the building. Do not use elevators.

Prior to leaving your room, feel the edges of your door and doorknob:

• If heat is evident, stuff wet towels or similar under the door.
• Remain close to the door.
• If heat is not evident, open the door slowly and proceed to the nearest exit and leave the building. If you encounter smoke, crawl on your hands and knees.

In the event of a full evacuation of the hotel, the assembly area for hotel staff and guests is in the open area car park on the Southern end of the building in front of the restaurants.
